Help with upstairs monitoring and greeting. Check on downstairs Runners and Sorters and report findings. Make sure all upstairs rooms are clean with trashcans emptied and VASE signage is down and reorganized.

SERVER 

Must wear a baseball cap, bandana or have all hair tightly pulled back at all times. All report to adult worker Amanda Simmons in the Band/Dance hallway. Set up Adult Worker breakfast, snack area, desserts, and a place for Student Volunteer pizzas, plates, napkins, etc. Make sure bottled water stays hold and filled up in cooler.  Stay through lunch clean-up to return all tables back to designated places.  Then help clean up the cafeteria at 4pm if available.  Deliver snacks and water to: upstairs student workers, auditorium, gyms, registration, volunteer assistant and judges from 9am - 11am. Student Volunteer lunch will run 11:30 - 1:15pm

REGISTRATION

  • Rachel K. - Check in by 7:40am. Report to Shelby Richardson in the front office vestibule area. Working with teachers from around the area to get checked in and collect important paperwork. Assist HHHS students in the competition to make sure they get their name tags and artworks.

Those starting at 5:45am report to Mrs. Smith in the Auditorium first before beginning. One of the MOST important jobs!!! Must be able to quickly find student names first by their teacher's last name and then contestant's last name. Students without a name badge may not pick up their form. Mrs. Salcido will be your adult worker closer to 8am.

RUNNER

Check in by 5:45am and find Mrs. Bernstein in the 2100 hallway or Library Hallway. Use carts 1 person per cart to take turns going upstairs to collect artwork.  Run problem artworks to judges upstairs, make sure artwork has a sticky note stating the problem, leave artwork with sticky note with the correct Timer. Timer will send it back down when corrected. Check on Timers frequently to see if any need a break. Sort collected artwork by score (see Green or Orange dots on the back of artwork)  while waiting for a cart to go back upstairs. Then placing verified artworks in the correct piles for transporting to the gyms.

MUST pay close attention to details!  Correctly sending artworks to the library or gym depending on the stamp or sticker. Using the computer to verify the artwork and sticker and sending artwork to accurate location.

CONCESSIONS

CLEAN-UP CREW

Anyone still needing more hours is encouraged to stay. Help ensure bandhall room, choir room, band hallway, auditorium, cafeteria, gyms, etc. are in order and everything is returned to previous state. We will be at school until at least 7pm. Stay as long as you can, leave when you need to go.
