AP 2D Design -
Culture Collage​

What?
The 2D Design student will research a culture that draws his or her interest. Recommended cultures include but are not limited to: African, Native American, Persian, Russian, and Mexican.
​
Why?
It is good to have influence from outside sources to spark creativity.
​
Requirements:

Size choices: 11"x14"

Media: thick magazine pages (National Geographic are best), Elmer's glue, and Nev'r Dull
-
The artwork must show a face or figure and be a good representation of the culture shown. Including a design or pattern of the culture is recommended.
AP Drawing -
Figure Drawing

What?
The Drawing student will spend the week studying figure proportions.
​
Why?
Artists need to understand correct proportions and how to render those proportions.
​
Requirements:

Size choices: 18"x24"
-
Media: charcoal paper, charcoal, and conte'
-
The artwork must show the full figure with excellent proportions and rendering.
